Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open your chosen drawing program on your laptop or computer.

    Microsoft Paint is one good choice.

    Click New File.

    You should be on a blank page.
  2. Step 2: Start drawing the oval head of Cyndaquil slightly to the left of the center of the document.

    In Microsoft Paint, the oval is located under shapes and it is in the first row and third column.

    Create the oval as long as you think the head of the Cyndaquil should be by just dragging the vertices surrounding the oval. , Click the eraser tool to erase the bottom half of the oval.

    On Microsoft Paint, this is located under tools in the second row and first column.

    Use the pencil tool to replace the bottom half of the oval with a curved snout shape.

    Make sure to leave some space on the right side of the oval for the body. , Connect it to the head on both sides. , Construct a line to connect the lower body and head.

    The line is located under shapes, first row, and first column. , The curved line is located under shapes, first row, and second column.

    The curved line, when clicked, will create a single line.

    Just, drag the center of the line to create the curve for the hands. , Place an oval stretched vertically on the back of the body.

    Erase the top right portion of the circle. , Place it on the very bottom of the leg or recently created oval. ,,,, Add a line using the pencil tool to connect the oval to the bottom of the head. ,, For the inner flames, create smaller triangles while using size 1 or the smallest size for the pencil. , To finish the product, color the following features:
    Outer flames:
    Red Inner flames:
    Yellow Upper body:
    Dark Green Lower body:
    Dark Yellow Claws of feet:
    Light Gray
  3. Step 3: Replace the bottom of the oval with Cyndaquil's mouth.

  4. Step 4: Create a wider oval in the center of the document.

  5. Step 5: Erase a small portion of the lower body.

  6. Step 6: Create the hands of the Cyndaquil by clicking on the curved line and putting one on the body and one slightly lower on the body.

  7. Step 7: Add the hind leg.

  8. Step 8: Create a very small curved line to indicate the feet.

  9. Step 9: Click on the pencil tool and create the hind leg of Cyndaquil by mimicking the shape seen above.

  10. Step 10: Click on the curved line and create a very small curve on the bottom of the far hind leg.

  11. Step 11: Add a curved line through the middle of the body.

  12. Step 12: Create a small oval on the head and erase the bottom right of the oval.

  13. Step 13: Construct a medium-sized curved line in the middle of the head to serve as the eye of Cyndaquil.
