Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Cut a strip of tape

    You will want it to fit around the circumference of the flash.

    Have the adhesive away from the flash.
  2. Step 2: approximately 9 inches (22.9 cm).

  3. Step 3: Put a piece of paper on the duct tape.

  4. Step 4: Fasten the duct tape around the flash and use scotch tape to temporarily hold it together.

  5. Step 5: Get a piece of wax paper about six inches square.

  6. Step 6: Use your intended flash and lightly trace around it so that you know what size you need it to me.

  7. Step 7: Draw a straight line out from all sides of the shape that you drew on the wax paper.

  8. Step 8: Cut the corners so that you have four tabs that you will fold over to make the box.

  9. Step 9: Fold over the tabs so that they meet and tape them.

  10. Step 10: Place the wax paper diffuser over the tape that is around the flash.

  11. Step 11: Be sure that there is about a half inch or more above the duct tape.

  12. Step 12: Use the scotch tape to fasten it in the correct place so that it won't move around.

  13. Step 13: Take a second piece of duct tape and place it on top of the other tape.

  14. Step 14: Finished.
