Step 1: Start with a standard 8.5" x 11" piece of paper and measure out a square piece.
This square piece will be your starting point -
Step 2: Fold the square in half sideways so that the two side corners are touching and then unfold.
This should create a crease down the centerline ,,, This creates the neck of the giraffe. , This should create a sort of hood or umbrella over the neck.
Hint:
You may need to slightly unfold the paper to make a neat fold here. , You will be making the same fold as you did for the neck portion. , This creates the head portion. ,,, Take the bottom right corner and fold it to the left.
Now take the tip and fold it to the left. ,, This completes the origami giraffe.

Step 3: Fold the side corners so that they meet at the centerline and then fold it in half

Step 4: Position the paper like this.

Step 5: Fold the sharp point to the right making an almost vertical crease.

Step 6: Fold the top corner inside out so that the sharp point is now pointing to the right.

Step 7: Take the point at the top of the neck and fold it to the left.

Step 8: Take the recently made fold and flip it inside out so that it looks like the above photo.

Step 9: Take the left tip of the head and fold to the right

Step 10: making a vertical fold.

Step 11: Fold the tip inwards creating a muzzle.

Step 12: This next step requires two folds.

Step 13: Fold the bottom corner inward and pull the tip out creating the tail.

Step 14: Use the scissors to cut out a portion to create the legs.
