  1. Step 1: Choose the image that you want to use to create the sketch.

    Try to keep the image from being too complicated.
  2. Step 2: Add a layer.

    If the Layer dialog box isn't showing, click on Layer >> Layer... or press L on your keyboard. , You will want a small brush that draws pretty fluidly.

    Here is a the wrong brush selected... (oops) You want one that is fairly small.

    Select one of the Classic brushes. ,, This will make your source image disappear and leave your sketch lines. ,,
  3. Step 3: Select a brush.

  4. Step 4: Start tracing over distinguishable characteristics of your image.

  5. Step 5: Click on the eye in the Layer dialog box.

  6. Step 6: Look at your sketch and see if you are missing anything.
