Step 1: Fill a large pot or a teapot with approximately 10 cups (2.37 liters) of cold water.
Bring the water to a full boil.
Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of each of the following ingredients to your pot of boiling water: organic raisins, organic figs and organic pearl barley.
Measure and add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of licorice root.
This is the last ingredient of the recipe to go in to your laxative tea. -
Step 2: Reduce heat to low and cover the pot with a secure lid.
Allow your laxative tea to simmer until your tea reaches a 50-percent reduction.
This occurs when about half the original liquid is left in the pot and the other half has evaporated. ,,,, -
Step 3: Be sure to strain your laxative tea before drinking.

Step 4: Put the leftover tea in a pitcher or container with a lid and refrigerate.
