How to Configure a Modem to Make DirecTV work with Vonage VOIP Service

   Step 1: Connect your modem to your PC as if you were going to use it to connect to the internet.

   Hyperterminal should pop up a dialog box asking you to make a new connection.
   
   Enter "test" into the text box and press OK.,, Enter AT&D0&H0&I0&R1&W0.
   
   Then enter AT&D0&H0&I0&R1&W1.

   Step 2: Go to Start:Programs:Accessories:Communications and open Hyperterminal.

   Step 3: On the next dialog box

   Step 4: select the COM port that the modem is connected to

   Step 5: leaving the defaults for everything else

   Step 6: press OK. You should be connected to the modem and have a blinking cursor.
