  1. Step 1: Make the sauce.

    Place the saucepan over a medium heat, add the butter and oil and allow it to melt.

    Then add the garlic, the chillies, paprika and salt.

    Bring it to a boil, whilst stirring and turn down the heat.

    Cook for a few seconds more then remove the pan from the hob.
  2. Step 2: Serve.

    Place the earthenware dish onto the hob and heat it through.

    Add the garlic oil with all the garlic bits.

    When very hot, add the shrimps.

    Let them cook for a minute or so and turn them over to cook on the other side. , Sprinkle over the chopped parsley and serve whilst still sizzling and piping hot.

    It can be served on its own or with some crusty bread to soak up the spicy sauce.
