Step 1: Open up the terminal.
This can be done by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T.
Then type in the following command: gksu gedit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf You will be required to give an administrative password. -
Step 2: Edit the NetworkManager.conf file.
In the last line, replace the managed=false to managed=true.
Then save the file and exit the editor. , If you don't want to restart your PC, then give the terminal this command: sudo restart network-manager. -
Step 3: Restart your PC or the Network Manager.
