Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: For Mac

    Select bodyshop.

    Right click and choose 'Show Package Contents'.

    For Windows, open your sims 2 application folder or the installed latest expansion pack folder.
  2. Step 2: open your sims 2 application folder.

    For Windows click on EA Games>"Sims/Expansion pack">TSData>Res>CSConfig , Drag it to your desktop.

    This may need authentication with a password. ,,,, This is your problem area. , Remember caps and don't delete any spaces. , Remember not to delete spaces. ,,,, If it needs authentication, use it. , Check if everything works.
  3. Step 3: For Mac click on Contents>Resources>Config.

  4. Step 4: See that Graphics Rules.sgr file?

  5. Step 5: Once the Graphics Rules.sgr file is on your desktop

  6. Step 6: make a copy of it.

  7. Step 7: open the copy in TextEdit (word processor).

  8. Step 8: Edit>Find - Type in UI Options in the find window and click next.

  9. Step 9: Underneath where it says UI Options

  10. Step 10: it should have a few lines with 'Boolprop' or 'Intprop'.

  11. Step 11: Change any 'False' words to 'True'.

  12. Step 12: Change anything that says 2 or 3 to 0 (zero).

  13. Step 13: Finally

  14. Step 14: go to Edit>Find and type in boolProp useRenderTextures.

  15. Step 15: If it says false

  16. Step 16: change it to true.

  17. Step 17: Save the Graphics Rules.sgr file.

  18. Step 18: Drag and drop it back into your Config folder.

  19. Step 19: Open up your bodyshop and create a test project.
