The best way I found doing this was to finely dice an onion. , Cut the onion into two halves and then pair the onion vertically with the cuts being as close as possible. then turn the onion around 90 degrees and very finely slice the onion so that very tiny pieces are starting to form.
Whichever knife you can achieve the best results with is the one for you. ,, There are many ways of sharpening your knife to keep it the way it was on the first day you purchased it. -
