Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: If you don't have NetBeans 6.5 on your computer

    If it is not there, then open the tap "Updates"

    then look for PHP, if you find it check-mark it, and finally click "Update" at the bottom of the window . ,,,,,,,, E.g. if my website is www.123.com which contains many project, then my current project should be accessed as www.123.com/myProject . ,,, If that succeeded, then click OK; to be taken to the main window. , For example, if my website is www.123.com which contains many project, and my current project i'm developing now can be accessed as www.123.com/myProject, then the upload Directory should be like /123.com/myProject ,, you are done configuring your CodeIgniter project on NetBeans and on your remote server ..

  6. Step 6: go to Plugins

  7. Step 7: open the tap "Installed"

  8. Step 8: look for PHP.

  9. Step 9: you need to download the PHP framework you will be using in your project; which is CodeIgniter in this case which you can download to your computer (anywhere) from this link.

  10. Step 10: Now you need to Un-Zip the CodeIgniter file you just downloaded

  11. Step 11: then rename the un-zipped folder created as the project you will develop.

  12. Step 12: It is time to create a PHP project in NetBeans by opining NetBeans

  15. Step 15: choose PHP from Categories

  26. Step 26: put the URL of where the project can be accessed at.

  28. Step 28: you should browse to application/controller/YourController/IndexMethod

  29. Step 29: On FTP

  30. Step 30: choose manage

  31. Step 31: add a new FTP

  32. Step 32: on the opened window

  33. Step 33: put the host name

  34. Step 34: user name and password given to you by your server's host

  35. Step 35: leave everything else as it's.

  36. Step 36: You can test your connection with the server

  37. Step 37: by clicking "Test".

  39. Step 39: make sure you specify where the project resides on your server.
