How to Install Boost Bottles on a Pocket Bike
Run bike until no fuel remains in tank, or manually empty fuel tank and run until bike fuel line is dry., Shut fuel valve off on carb and disconnect the fuel line from the carb. , Locate the throttle cable connected to carb., Slide rubber boot up...
Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Run bike until no fuel remains in tank
(usually under a black rubber boot) ,, Be sure to not get any dirt into carb. , Be sure to not lose the gasket between carb and manifold, it will be needed again. , Once again, be careful not to lose or damage the gasket between the manifold and engine.
This manifold is no longer needed because a new manifold will be installed for the boost bottle(s). ,, There is only one way the manifold will go on, so don’t force it.
Line up the holes and replace the four screws removed in step 7 or use new screws that came with manifold.
The opening for the carb should be parallel with the ground. , Make sure to push the hose(s) all the way up the valve(s) ,, The fuel bowl of the carb should be towards the ground.
Replace the two long screws that were removed in step 6 to secure the carb to the manifold. ,, It is a good idea to put a zip tie around the fuel line to secure it to the carb to avoid fuel leaks. , Replace two screws from step 5 and tighten. ,, The bottle(s) must be mounted at a level above the carb to function properly.
Some modification may need to be made to the body to fit the boost bottle(s). ,,, -
Step 2: or manually empty fuel tank and run until bike fuel line is dry.
-
Step 3: Shut fuel valve off on carb and disconnect the fuel line from the carb.
-
Step 4: Locate the throttle cable connected to carb.
-
Step 5: Slide rubber boot up throttle cable and disconnect throttle cable from the carb by loosening the screw and spring holding the throttle cable in place.
-
Step 6: Unscrew screws attaching the airbox/air filter to the carb to remove the airbox/air filter.
-
Step 7: Remove two long screws holding carb to manifold
-
Step 8: to remove the carb from manifold on engine.
-
Step 9: Remove the manifold by unscrewing the four screws securing the manifold to the engine.
-
Step 10: Grab new manifold with brass valve(s) installed
-
Step 11: and place old manifold gasket on new manifold so the carb opening on the gasket matches that of the manifold.
-
Step 12: To install the manifold
-
Step 13: carefully place it against the opening in the engine
-
Step 14: ensuring the brass valve(s) are facing down.
-
Step 15: Connect the hose(s) to the manifold by pushing the hose(s) over the brass valve(s) on the manifold.
-
Step 16: Tape the opposite end(s) of the hose(s) temporarily to insure no dirt gets in the hose(s).
-
Step 17: Reinstall the carb by aligning the body of the carb (opening) with the opening on the manifold.
-
Step 18: Reconnect the throttle cable to the carb by tightening the spring and screw from step 4.
-
Step 19: Reconnect the fuel line to the carb by pushing it over the fuel valve on the carb.
-
Step 20: Reinstall the airbox/ air filter to the carb by holding the airbox with the openings towards the ground and aligning the airbox screw holes with the threaded holes on the carb.
-
Step 21: Remove the tape covering the hose(s) from the manifold and attach to boost bottle(s) by pushing hose(s) over the brass valve(s) on the boost bottles.
-
Step 22: Use zip ties to mount the boost bottle(s) to the frame of the bike.
-
Step 23: Recheck all screws to ensure all components are tight.
-
Step 24: Fill bike with fuel and start bike up to check to make sure throttle works properly and there are no fuel leaks.
-
Step 25: Hop on the bike and feel the power.
