Step 1: Once you have opened Zbrush and you come to a menu you will have 3 options and some D models at the bottom
For the purposes of this how-to, click poly sphere from the 3D models located at the bottom of the opening screen. -
Step 2: the D models are for you to be able to click what you have been working recently and then just carry on.
,,, Brush type
- To change the brush you're using.
Stroke
- To change the way the brush comes out on the model.
Alpha
- Again to change the appearance of the brush somewhat.
Texture
- To change the texture of the polymesh.
Material
- to change the material type of the polymesh. -
Step 3: Since you are already in edit mode (ctrl+t)

Step 4: you'll notice you can click and hold in the grey area and rotate the polysphere

Step 5: to edit the polysphere

Step 6: bring your mouse up to the top right hand side of the screen (the tool menu) and select "make polymesh 3D" you'll notice you can now draw on the sphere in the canvas.

Step 7: The first keyboard shortcut is "x" when you hit x

Step 8: you'll trigger off the mirror feature which if you click and draw on the polysphere inside the canvas you'll see that it mirrors what you just created

Step 9: now with all edit is Ctrl+D which subdivides the polysphere or your model to make it smoother.

Step 10: The next shortcut would be hitting "S" on your keyboard

Step 11: which opens up a mini menu allowing you to customize your brush size and how it will show on the polymesh.

Step 12: To the right of your canvas you'll see a few separate features.
