  1. Step 1: Lay your garment flat.

    Smooth it out and undo the buttoned area.
  2. Step 2: Take a comb.

    Make sure the comb is clean. , This will lift the button from the garment, separating it and the thread will be obvious above the comb, just under the button. , Leaving the comb in place, use a razor or extremely fine scissors to cut the thread above the comb and remove the button. , Remove remaining pieces of thread. ,
  3. Step 3: Slide the comb under the button.

  4. Step 4: Cut the thread.

  5. Step 5: Take the comb off.

  6. Step 6: Repeat as needed for remaining buttons.
