How to Send Pokémon from GBA Games to Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Buy a Pokémon GBA game

   A list of the Pokémon GBA games is listed below in the Tips section.
   
   This does not work with a Nintendo DSi, 3DS, or 2DS.

   Step 2:  a copy of Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver

   Turn your DS upside down and put the GBA game into the Game Boy slot on the bottom of the DS.
   
   Turn the power on and start up HeartGold or SoulSilver. ,,, You will have to catch the Pokémon in the GBA game. , You will not be able to return them to the original source., Save first before turning off the power. ,

   Step 3: and a Nintendo DS or DS Lite.

   Step 4: Insert HeartGold or SoulSilver into the game slot.

   Step 5: On the Main Menu

   Step 6: press A

   Step 7: and then select Migrate From (Name of Version).

   Step 8: Click yes when you are asked whether you want to send Pokémon from the GBA pak to HeartGold or SoulSilver.

   Step 9: Continue clicking yes until a list of Pokémon you can send over is displayed.

    Step 10: Send your Pokémon over.

    Step 11: Restart the game and go back to the main menu.

    Step 12: Visit Pal Park and throw Poké Balls to catch your Pokémon!
