  1. Step 1: Run your game.

    This is done by holding the CTRL + ALT + DEL keys simultaneously.

    One of two things will happen depending on your software.

    If a box appears titled task manager, move on to the next steps.

    If another screen pops up with several choices including switch user, log off or change password, find the option that is titled "Start task manager".

    The task manager box should appear. , It should be the second tab near the top of the task manager box. , It will probably have a shortened name and end with .exe.

    Look in the "Description" column to see which one is probably your game.

    The less items you have running, the easier this will be. , Hover over the button named set priority.

    Set the priority to one of the higher options.

    The higher the priority is, the less lag there will be.
