  1. Step 1: Right click an empty area of your desktop and click "Personalize".

    You have a wide variety of choices to choose from, but just in case you would like to make customizations, precede to the further steps below:
    Below the themes, Click "Desktop Background." Find the Desktop Background of your choice.

    If needed, Select the Picture Position.

    In Windows 7, you are open to two additional options.

    Resize, and Fit.

    These are used to accommodate pictures to fill the entire desktop or fit the entire picture if the selected image has an aspect ratio different than your display monitor.

    Change the Desktop Background changing frequency.

    If you would like, apply this setting also; it will make your desktop look like a slide show with this enabled.

    You can also shuffle the order in which the pictures are played.
