  1. Step 1: Spot clean/treat the mattress.

    Before you go in for the big deodorant, make sure you have removed any other offending items/odor.

    Use a clean, damp cloth to pick up residue and spot clean/treat troublesome areas.

    Rub area with cloth to ensure all debris is removed.
  2. Step 2: Fill empty spray bottle with vodka.

    Fill 2/3 of the way with the vodka.

    Also, don’t worry about the vodka quality--cheap vodka works as well as the expensive stuff! , You can combine aromas, but make sure you like the way the essential oil smells. , Be sure the lid is on tightly or else you are going to get a vodka bath. , Spray liberally without soaking the area. , Don’t make the bed or add sheets until the vodka has completely dried.

    You may need to make more than one pass with the vodka bottle, especially if you are dealing with especially stubborn odors.
