Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Bend the heavy gauge wire in half.

    Twist the rest around itself down the length of the wire.

    This will form the trunk.
  2. Step 2: Place the open end of the trunk in the pot and mark where the top of the pot comes up to on the trunk with permanent marker.

    You will not have any branches below this point. , Glue the end of the feather boa around it. ,, Attach the top branches first and work your way down. , Where you marked the line before on the trunk, plan for 5 branches to attach just above that point.

    Have one or two whorls of 4 branches in the middle of the trunk, evenly spaced. ,,,
  3. Step 3: Bend a loop in the tip of the lighter-gauge wire

  4. Step 4: and thread or glue the bead or pinecone onto it.

  5. Step 5: Wrap the boa down the length you want the branch

  6. Step 6: then twist the rest of the wire through the trunk and cut at the bottom of the trunk.

  7. Step 7: Repeat with each branch.

  8. Step 8: You should have one branch straight off the top of the tree and 3 just below it for the top round of branches.

  9. Step 9: The bottom branches should be longer than the top branches
