How to Automatically Join an IRC Channel in Pidgin

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Install Pidgin on your Windows or Linux-based operating system/computer.

   It can be downloaded from it's company's website.
   
   Pidgin does not operate on a Macintosh computer.
   
   It will only run on computers operating on a Windows operating system.
   
   Click the Download button and follow the prompts on screen to complete.

   Step 2: Recognize that each time you start Pidgin

   But for now, you'll need to Start Pidgin and Make yourself "Available" in the drop-down at the bottom of the buddy list. , From the Buddy List, select Manage Accounts.
   
   Add an IRC server to the account.
   
   As long as you know the server name or advanced options, you'll be able to connect to whatever server the channel is located on. , Select the Add Chat option from the Buddy menu on your Buddy List. ,, Make sure it is checked. ,,,

   Step 3: you'll end up connecting to this network

   Step 4: until you select to "Disconnect" from your Pidgin Buddy List
