Never use tap water, this is bad for frogs.
If you have a tropical frog put the water in a microwave for a few seconds.
Make sure it's not hot.
The water should be warm or lukewarm.

Make sure you only fill the container with a little bit of water.
The water should be shallow enough so that the frog can stand in it. -
