How to Convert Deadaim Logs Into Gaim Logs

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Make sure you can view hidden files and hidden folders.

   (This is so that the renaming program can see it),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If the format looks correct click the RED start button at the bottom left (not your windows start button)., If so you are done.
   
   If not, go back to the rename program and click the "Undo All" button right next to the start button.
   
   Then carefully go over the instructions to make sure you followed them exactly, and try again.

   Step 2: Copy your DeadAim logs folder

   Step 3: named with your screen name(s)

   Step 4: to "C:\Documents and Settings\%USER_NAME%\Application Data\.gaim\logs\aim"

   Step 5: Uncheck the hidden attribute for the "Application Data" folder.

   Step 6: Download the 1-4a Rename program

   Step 7: Extract the file.

    Step 11: navigate to the Gaim log folder above.

    Step 12: Press F2 key to enter advanced mode.

    Step 15: it will build a list of files which should look like "yyyy-mm-dd .htm".
