    It should be something like:
    C:\Documents and Settings\sword\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\(long number)\Backgrounds
  2. Step 2: You will see a number of .dat files in the folder.

    Copy whichever ones you want to another folder. , This will convert to .jpg format.

    From there just open it like any jpeg file. ,, Change all .dt2 to .jpg or .bmp and you'll be able to double click them and open in your default image viewer.
