  1. Step 1: Find a good penny.

    Other coins will also work, such as dimes.

    Quarters are harder to fold, but it can be done.
  2. Step 2: Clamp the penny to a table or other suspended hard surface.

    The penny should be about two-thirds of the way off the table or so.

    Or, take pliers and hold the penny securely. , You should stop when you can't do any more or when the penny is a little more than a right angle. ,,, You may need two people to do this, one to hold the pliers and one to hammer. , The edges may not be perfectly aligned, but it is cool to have and worth showing off.
  3. Step 3: Grab the penny and start bending it up with another pair of pliers.

  4. Step 4: Take the penny out of the clamp once it has been bent.

  5. Step 5: Clamp pliers onto the groove that you've made when you started to fold the penny.

  6. Step 6: While holding the penny with the pliers

  7. Step 7: hammer the penny's edge so that it continues bending.
