Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open up Adobe Illustrator and create a new document

    Set the colors to the following: first color at position R = 227, G = 165, B =22; second color at position R = 174, G = 128,B = 6, use a radial mode. ,, Make it a bit smaller, grab the corner with the Selection Tool and scale up very slightly.

    Remember to hold Shift to keep the shape proportional , Set it on the center. , Paste in another circle and scale it down to fit in place as the clock face , Fill the rectangle with brown.

    These shape will be the base of the clock face metrics, duplicate them by use Rotate Tool ,,, Fill each one with a color you want ,,,,,

  3. Step 3: set it at size 500x500 pixels

  4. Step 4: you will get a perfect circle.

  5. Step 5: Colored the it by use Gradient Tool

  6. Step 6: you can use CMYK or RGB color mode

  7. Step 7: by this I used RGB mode.

  8. Step 8: For adding a texture for your clock

  9. Step 9: copy your circle and go to effect>texture>texturizer

  10. Step 10: select canvas and set scale 100%

  12. Step 12: Placed it on your first circle

  13. Step 13: bring it to front and set it to multiply.

  14. Step 14: Copy one another circle

  15. Step 15: make it as smaller as you want

  16. Step 16: it will be your clock face and then colored it in the same color of first circle.

  17. Step 17: Copy one another circle

  18. Step 18: set the colors to the following: first color at position R = 225

  19. Step 19: G = 225

  20. Step 20: B =225; second color at position R = 217

  21. Step 21: G = 217

  22. Step 22: B = 217

  23. Step 23: white border stroke 3 pt.

  24. Step 24: Draw a small thin rectangle.

  25. Step 25: Click at thin rectangle and select Rotate Tool

  26. Step 26: click at the center of circle

  27. Step 27: type 360/12 angle in the box and click copy.

  28. Step 28: You will see a new rectangle like the picture in the left side

  29. Step 29: Copy it by pressed Ctrl+D.

  30. Step 30: Created a new small circle and choose the rounded rectangle tool and draw a few fingers of various sizes.

  31. Step 31: Rotate and position these shapes onto the clock face

  32. Step 32: Copy these and turn it to light grey and then bring it back of your finger

  33. Step 33: it will be shadow underneath the fingers.

  34. Step 34: Copy and paste another copy of the clock

  35. Step 35: send it to light gray

  36. Step 36: it will be your clock shadow

  37. Step 37: Copy and paste another copy of the clock face

  38. Step 38: use the Ellipse tool to draw a temporary shape across the circle like in the picture

  39. Step 39: select all and go to pathfinder

  40. Step 40: use Add to shape area tool and then click expand.

  41. Step 41: Position it on your clock face and set it to multiply.
