Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Click here to download the unicorn pieces and unicorn card.Print them on heavy paper

    You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Readerinstalled in your computer in order to view and print the templates. ,,,, Unfold and put it back to its original position. , Fold it in half towards you. , Crease well and unfold.

    Repeat this step on the other , Fold it in half towards you. ,, The E tab should fold towards the horse's shoulder. ,, Set this piece aside for now. ,, Crease well and unfold. ,,, Press firmly and let the glue dry. , Line up the tab and press down firmly ,,, Do the same to the other side by applying a small amount of glue to area D. , Wait for the glue to dry and set this pop-up piece aside for now. ,,,,, Press firmly and let the glue dry.

    Do the same on the other side. ,, Color it in with markers and crayons.

  3. Step 3: Using a ruler as a guide

  4. Step 4: take the rounded end of a paper clip (or ballpoint pen that has run out of ink) and press along the dotted lines of the pop-up pieces and card.

  5. Step 5: Carefully cut out your unicorn pop-up pieces and card following the solid black line around the shape(s).

  6. Step 6: Note that you should have 5 pieces and 1 card.

  7. Step 7: Take your card and fold it in half.

  8. Step 8: Take your pop-up piece with the horn on it.

  9. Step 9: Fold and crease the left tab up.

  10. Step 10: Take your pop-up piece with the ears on it.

  11. Step 11: Fold the bottom left tab up and crease well.

  12. Step 12: Continue to fold and crease.

  13. Step 13: Continue to fold and crease until it looks like this.

  14. Step 14: Repeat the previous three steps on the other side.

  15. Step 15: Take the head piece and fold it in half towards you.

  16. Step 16: Take the left tab and fold it down away from you.

  17. Step 17: Do the same with the right tab.

  18. Step 18: Apply a small amount of glue to where it says "glue here A" on the card.

  19. Step 19: Take your pop-up piece with the horn and line it up against "glue here A".

  20. Step 20: Apply a small amount of glue to "glue here B".

  21. Step 21: Let the glue dry.

  22. Step 22: Apply a small amount of glue to area C.

  23. Step 23: Press firmly and let the glue dry.

  24. Step 24: Glue the left side and press firmly.

  25. Step 25: Apply a small amount of glue to E and F.

  26. Step 26: Take your pop-up piece you just put aside and line it up over "glue here E" and "glue here F".

  27. Step 27: Apply a small amount of glue to areas G and H. Line up the tabs over G and H. Press firmly and let the glue dry.

  28. Step 28: Apply a small amount of glue to area I.

  29. Step 29: Take a leg and attached it over area I.

  30. Step 30: Close your pop-up carefully.

  31. Step 31: Open your pop-up unicorn!

  32. Step 32: Finished.
