Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Choose your favorite fabric.

    Cut two pieces of fabric to the size slightly larger than you want your bag to be. , The right sides should be facing each other., Leave the top of the bag unsewn., Make sure you don't sew the two sides of your bag together., These strips should be a little more than twice as long and twice as wide as you would like your handles to be.,,,,, Attach the handles with pins first to make sure they are where you want them to be.,,, These are shown in the photo above , Cut out a leaf and flower as the picture shows.

    Place the leaf on the bag; draw the leaf shape on the fabric one by one. , Embroider the leaf with different colored threads along the edges of the leaves. ,,, Draw the other flowers in the gaps., Embroider the flowers with different colors. ,
  2. Step 2: Place the pieces of fabric together.

  3. Step 3: Sew the two pieces together along three sides.

  4. Step 4: Turn the top edge over and sew the edge down.

  5. Step 5: Cut two long strips of fabric for the handles.

  6. Step 6: Fold one strip in half

  8. Step 8: Sew along the edge to create a tube.

  9. Step 9: Use a knitting needle (or something similar) to turn your tube right side out.

  11. Step 11: Attach the handles to the (still inside out) bag body.

  12. Step 12: Stitch the handles in place.

  13. Step 13: Turn the bag right side out.

  14. Step 14: Assemble the materials you will need.

  15. Step 15: Draw the leaves.

  16. Step 16: Embroider the leaves.

  17. Step 17: Embroider the diagonal for each leaf.

  18. Step 18: Place the paper flower on the gap between two leaves

  19. Step 19: Draw the flower shape on the fabric.

  20. Step 20: Embroider the flowers.

  21. Step 21: Embroider as many leaves and flowers as you like.
