Step 1: Preheat the oven.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. -
Step 2: Combine the dry ingredients.
Place the flour into a large mixing bowl, then add the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, chocolate chips, baking powder and baking soda.
Mix everything together well with a spoon. , Add the cubed cold butter and mix it in with your hands, squishing it through your fingers to incorporate it fully.
Don't worry about any lumps that you may have at this point. , Spoon in the beaten egg yolks, the yogurt and the cream.
Using a spoon, combine it all together well to make a chunky dough. , Sprinkle some flour onto a working surface, place the dough onto it and then sprinkle the dough with some flour.
With your rolling pin, start to roll the dough backwards and forwards into a
1.5cm/0.5" thick rough circle.
Using the small cutter, cut the dough into 4cm/2" rings and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
You can also scoop spoonfuls of the dough and drop them on the cookie sheet.
Shape as round as possible. , You may find you have to cook the scones in batches. , Place the scones into the preheated oven and bake for roughly 12 minutes.
Remove from the oven after this time.
