Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Soak  a cup of raw rice for about 2 hours in a bowl.

    Add 1/4 cup of ghee to it.

    Add some water, if required , to get Dosa batter consistency.

    Spread a teaspoon of ghee on a steel plate of 6" diameter X 2" depth and keep it aside.,, Once this stage is reached, immediately pour the entire mixture on to the ghee spread plate and flatten the content to spread uniformly with the back of some other plate or a bowl., And now it is ready to be served!
  2. Step 2: Grate 1/2 a big coconut .

  3. Step 3: Grind the soaked raw rice and the grated coconut along with 2-4 cardamoms in to a fine paste

  4. Step 4: adding just enough water.

  5. Step 5: Mix the ground paste with 1 1/2  cup of powdered jaggery and 1/4 cup sugar in a thick frying pan.

  6. Step 6: Heat the pan on low flame

  7. Step 7: constantly stirring the mix.

  8. Step 8: Continue to cook till the mixture stops sticking to the fingers when touched with wet hand.

  9. Step 9: Let it cool.
