How to Operate a Roomba

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Make sure the Roomba is fully charged.

   Close doors to rooms that you do not want the Roomba to enter.
   
   You can also create a physical barrier using things liked rolled up yoga mats. ,, If you want it to clean in the room where its home base is, simply press clean and Roomba will return to its dock automatically after it is done cleaning. ,, For an all-over clean, press the Clean button.
   
   For a maximum cleaning job, press MAX. (Depending on what model you have, you may not have a MAX button.) For getting a spot off your floor, press the Spot button. ,, iRobot has a few tools made just for this purpose. , If not, replace the filter. ,

   Step 2: Set up any virtual walls you need so your Roomba won't go in certain areas of the house.

   Step 3: Make sure things such as curtains

   Step 4: blankets and cords with a loose end are off the floor or have items/virtual walls blocking them.

   Step 5: Unplug the Roomba from its charger and take it to the area you want it to start cleaning.

   Step 9: put some newspaper down and empty the waste collector from the back of the Roomba into a trash can.

    Step 11: take the brushes out of the vacuum and get any debris out of the brushes.
