Step 1: Prep the lantern on the ground:;
Check the cord to see if there are any cuts, breaks, etc.
You should not be able to see the coloured cords inside. , Check that the flex is gripped securely by the plug. , Check that it has been PAT tested (this is done annually by a professional).
If your equipment has not been passed, do not attempt any of the following steps until it has been. , All the nuts and bolts have to be tight but not so tight that you cannot adjust the light's position on the bar. , shutter blades. , barn doors. ,,,,, If you accidentally drop something it could do a lot of damage. ,, If it is too long, wrap the excess around the bar to ensure the bond is not too loose.
