How to Set Up Kobo

Step 1: Switch on your Kobo.
Press and hold the Power button located at the top-right corner of the reader to turn it on. -
Step 2: Connect the Kobo to a computer.
Once the reader is switched on, get the USB cable included in the package when you purchased it and connect the smaller end to the micro USB port located at the bottom of the reader.
Take the other end of the cable and plug it to any USB port on your computer. , Once the Windows computer detects the Kobo reader, an auto-run window will appear on the screen.
Select “Open folder to view files” from the auto-run window to view the files inside the reader. , Inside Kobo’s file folder, you’ll find a folder named Desktop Installer, which contains the installer for the Kobo Desktop application for computers.
Open Desktop Installer and inside you’ll see another folder named Windows. , Open the Windows folder and inside you’ll find the DesktopInstaller.exe file.
Double-click on this file to launch the Windows Installation Wizard, which will install the Kobo Desktop application on your Windows computer.
Once the Kobo Desktop application has been installed, your Kobo is all set and you can now start copying e-books and documents to your Kobo reader using the Desktop application. -
