   Step 1: Open Snapchat.

   Enter your username and password if you're not automatically logged in.

   Step 2: Swipe down anywhere on the screen.

   Doing so takes you to the user screen. , It's in the upper-right corner of the screen and takes you to the Settings menu. , It's the first selection in the "Who Can..." section of the menu. ,, It's in the upper-left corner.
   
   Now, only people who you've added as friends on Snapchat will be able to send you messages, and spammers will be blocked.
   
   You will still see ads in the "Stories" section of Snapchat, but advertisers will not be able to message you. , It's a yellow icon with a ghost logo in it.
   
   Enter your username and password if you're not automatically logged in. , Doing so will open your account profile. , It's near the bottom of the screen. , Do so by tapping on their name and holding briefly.
