Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Once you've found your target

    If they come toward you, let your trap take them, then move back, and start the cycle over. ,,,, Get a cat as a pet, and teach it stealth, then when you go to defend, you (using Shadowmeld, the Night Elf racial stealth) and your pet can be unseen until it's too late for the enemy to react to your stifling shots. =)
  2. Step 2: or your target has found you

  3. Step 3: lay a freezing trap on the ground.

  4. Step 4: If they don't have you targeted and are busy with someone else

  5. Step 5: release an aimed shot

  6. Step 6: then multi-shot

  7. Step 7: serpent sting

  8. Step 8: arcane shot

  9. Step 9: then spam steady shot until cooldowns are up for your main DPS shots.

  10. Step 10: If your trap is on cooldown

  11. Step 11: and your target is advancing toward you

  12. Step 12: scatter shot him

  13. Step 13: and get more distance between you and the target

  14. Step 14: Concussive Shot

  15. Step 15: then start your cycle of shots.

  16. Step 16: If you find yourself against a healer

  17. Step 17: Scatter Shot

  18. Step 18: Aimed shot

  19. Step 19: Viper Sting

  20. Step 20: Concussive Shot

  21. Step 21: save silencing shot for when they're low and trying to get a big heal off.

  22. Step 22: Go for the healers first

  23. Step 23: because it's harder for someone to run away from ranged DPS

  24. Step 24: and if there's no one to heal the opposite faction you're PvPing against

  25. Step 25: they'll fall faster and easier.

  26. Step 26: If you're a Night Elf Hunter

  27. Step 27: you have a very good position if you decide to defend in a battleground.
