How to Make a Sequin Turtle from a Lid

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Find a suitable sized plastic lid.

   Lids from powdered food, instant coffee, etc. type cans are a good size but you can use smaller or larger lids too.

   Step 2: Paint the lid if wished.

   You don't have to do this but if you want to turn the turtle green or brown and the lid is a different color, paint it.
   
   Use a paint that works with plastic. , Use a simple design, similar to half of a human finger.
   
   Cut out four legs. , Use a shape similar to a dessert or wooden spoon for the head.
   
   Cut the shape out. , Use a short, cute tail shape.
   
   Cut the tail shape out. , Glue or tape the pieces to the underside of the lid. , Either mark the eyes using a marker or glue on googly eyes. , Use sequins in matching, matching or a rainbow of colors.
   
   Glue across the lid in rows, patterns or randomly. , Attach to a wall, bulletin board or poster board with double-sided tape or poster tack.
   
   Or simply display on a shelf.

   Step 3: Draw leg shapes on matching cardboard.

   Step 4: Draw a turtle head shape on the same colored cardboard.

   Step 5: Draw a little tail in the same colored cardboard.

   Step 6: Attach to the lid.

   Step 7: Make the eyes on the turtle's head.
