  1. Step 1: Type the text.

    From the tools menu, select the type tool (looks like a "t" icon).

    Press T on your keyboard and press anywhere to start typing.
  2. Step 2: Select the Text layer.

    Click on the layer and press Ctrl while you click.

    Alternatively, go to Select menu and choose Load Selection. , Press the Create New Layer button, down in the layers panel. , Right click and choose Stroke. , You can change stroke settings including location and stroke width and color. ,, Choose the text layer and press Delete from your keyboard.

    You can disable text layer visibility, instead of deleting it, by clicking on the eye icon if you want
