Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open iMovie HD and select the movie project you will be adding music to.

    After finding one you like drag it down to a purple editing box.

    Be sure you move it all the way to the beginning of the frame you would like the music to start.

    NOTE: if you cannot hear your music be sure all 3 audio boxes on the side of the purple edit by frame box are checked, your volume is up and you are awake if your audio port is occupied. , If you are satisfied with your work, save accordingly.
  2. Step 2: Drag down the video clip that you have selected to the editing box.

  3. Step 3: Click on the clock under the left hand side of the playing video to view the clip by frames.

  4. Step 4: Click the media tab on the right above the view by frames box.

  5. Step 5: Then choose a track from either your iTunes

  6. Step 6: GarageBand

  7. Step 7: standard sound effects

  8. Step 8: iLife sound effects or record one of your own.

  9. Step 9: If you use a iLife standard track for example

  10. Step 10: double click on the iLife drop down menu.

  11. Step 11: Then looking in the options box just below click on any sound you would like to preview and listen to it.
