Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open your iPhone’s Settings.

    It's an icon with gray cogs.

    If you don't see it on your home screen, look in the “Utilities" folder. ,,,, Sliding to the left will make it slower and to the right will make it faster.

    This will not activate VoiceOver.

    Slide the "VoiceOver" button at the top of the page to the "on" position to do so.

    You won’t be able to hear the speaking rate percentage when adjusting it until VoiceOver is on.

  4. Step 4: Tap VoiceOver.

  5. Step 5: Slide the button beneath "Speaking Rate."
