How to Make a Sea Creature Mobile

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Turn a bowl upside down.

   This will be your sea creature's body.

   Step 2: Cut a piece of elastic cord about 20 centimeter (7.9 in) long.

   ,, Tie a loop at the other end so that you can hang up your mobile when it is finished. , Make sure it is long enough to go around the outside of the bowl and cut a little extra to spare. ,, Cut off any spare ends of material. , Take a few pieces of different coloured felt and lay them one on top of the other.
   
   Carefully cut them into strips. , Work your way round the bowl once, add more glue and repeat until all the strips are glued.
   
   These will dangle from your sea creature like tentacles when you hang it up. , Decorate the body of your creature.
   
   Use shiny stickers, glue on bits of shiny paper, stick on a couple of goggle eyes and finish with some glitter glue. , Enjoy your sea creature but be careful it doesn't bite you!

   Step 3: Pierce a hole for the cord in the centre of the bottom of the bowl with some scissors.

   Step 4: Thread the cord through the hole and tie a knot in the bottom so that it won't fit back through the hole.

   Step 5: Cut one long

   Step 7: Add PVA glue to the inside of the bowl.

   Step 8: Stick the fabric onto the glue so that it hangs down off the edge of the bowl and looks a bit like a jellyfish.

   Step 9: Make the sea creature's legs.

    Step 10: Put some glue on the underside of your bowl and stick the ends of the felt strips down.

    Step 11: Add the final touches.

    Step 12: Hang it up after waiting a few minutes until the glue has dried.
