How to Set Transit Vehicle Options for Maps on an iPhone
Open your iPhone’s Settings., Tap Maps., Tap the second Transit in the menu., Tap your desired vehicles.

Step 1: Open your iPhone’s Settings.
It’s the gray gear app on your Home Screen. -
Step 2: Tap Maps.
You’ll find it about halfway down your screen. , It will be beneath Driving & Navigation.
If you have an older iPhone model or do not have the current iOS update, then this button may be called Public Transport. , If there is a blue check mark beside them, then Maps will give you transit directions based on these vehicles if they're available.
The options include Bus, Underground & Light Rail, Suburban Rail, and Ferry. -
