How to Update System Software on PS
Turn on the PS4., Select Settings from the home screen., Select System Software Update., Install the latest firmware.

Step 1: Turn on the PS4.
You can turn the console on by pressing the On button on the console or by simply pressing on the Playstation button on the controller (the small circular button in the middle). -
Step 2: Select Settings from the home screen.
Choose the Settings icon from the selection of icons from the top.
It is the toolbox-shaped icon. , Selecting this option will prompt your system to check for the latest firmware version.
If you do not have the latest version, it will be downloaded to your system. , Once the download is complete, you will see a notification at the top-left corner of the screen.
From the home screen, select Notification and then select Downloads.
Choose the firmware file and then simply follow the onscreen instructions to start installation. -
