Step 1: Place your watch on a soft
Rolex watches are expensive to replace and repair, so protect your watch by winding it on a stationary surface where it can't slip out of your hand. -

Turn the crown counterclockwise until you feel it release from the last thread.

The watch will continue to run properly during this time.
To set the time, from the third position, move the crown clockwise or counterclockwise until you reach the appropriate time.
The second hand will stop automatically when the crown is in this position but will resume when it goes back to the second position.
